Mrs. Matos is an employment mediator with more than forty years of experience in federal and state/local employment law matters both from plaintiff and defense perspective. Mrs. Matos worked fifteen (15) years at EEOC starting as trial attorney through Associate Regional Counsel. She entered private practice in 1995 where she worked on both plaintiff and defense cases in federal, state local courts, NASD, unemployment compensation, PA Civil Service Commission, MSPB, and EEOC hearings. While at EEOC she was recognized twice with the highest EEOC staff award, the Chairman's Award from now Justice Clarence Thomas. Sine 1998 Ms. Matos has also entered mediation practice, first as a volunteer mediator, then as a contract mediator and now as a private mediator. She was selected by EEOC as a contract mediator for about twenty years. In 2015 Mrs. Matos trained in Florida to become a Florida Supreme Court certified civil mediator. Mrs. Matos is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, is a member of the National Association of Employment Lawyers, Pennsylvania Chapter, and is fluent in Spanish. She earned a Masters degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature from Rutgers University.
